23 New Foreign Affairs Officers graduated to be Public Servants

The first batch of twenty three new DFA recruits has graduated into Public Service on the 02nd of June 2023 after undertaking a week-long Public Service Training by Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance.
Mr. Buri Gari, represented Secretary Wohengu, officiated the graduation of the recruits.
Mr. Gari, highlighted to the media and audience that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PILAG and the Department of Foreign Affairs on 08th November 2022 for the provision of long-term training courses for the Department’s Officers.

He further expressed that the training offered by PILAG is very beneficial and Foreign Affairs will continue to engage with PILAG as a key partner for training and building capacity of the officers.

 
“The declaration of the Loyalty of Oaths to Public Service signifies your commitment and dedication to serve the Department and the public service as a whole. I expect you all to serve with diligence in accordance with the expected

 standards of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the General Orders of the Public Service,” he said.
“The recruitment process for this batch is now completed”
